20 kilometres of asphalt, 16 large-scale structures including viaducts and bridges and numerous road connection-related works performed by Astaldi in partnership with polish companies. These are the numbers involved in the contract, worth a total of EUR 124 million (Astaldi has a 30% stake) to construct the Minsk-Mazowiecki Bypass Road in Poland, commissioned by Warsaw’s National Roads and Motorways Department.
The project on the whole involves the construction of 20 kilometres of bypass
road boasting motorway standards along the National Road No. 2, for the section running between Choszczowka and Ryczolek.
The project also involves the construction of 16 structures, including viaducts and bridges, as well as a series of additional works to interconnect the local road network.
The planned duration of the works, which commenced in 2009, will be just over 27 months.
